As an escape from the rigours of graphic design school, Keri Latimer would dabble in guitar strumming and song writing. It soon turned sour. The songs began to take precedent over the assignments, and her portfolio ended up a mess. That was years ago and since then Latimer has written a stack of songs and is now fronting the band Nathan. They’ve released three critically acclaimed albums, the most recent being Key Principles, which received a Juno Award in 2008. The Keri Latimer Band is a skewed Nathan, with a raw and perhaps more intimate telling of the songs (and a few new ones to throw out there) by Latimer.
