Pétur Ármannsson

Pétur Ármannsson (*1987) is a theatre artist from the east of Iceland. He graduated with a BFA in acting from the Icelandic Academy of the Arts in 2012. Since graduating Pétur has undertaken a directing internship at the Schaubühne Theatre in Berlin and worked as a theatre director and maker for independent projects in Iceland. Pétur has worked as an assistant director in The Reykjavík City Theatre. His most notable work to date is Dance for me a theater work about Pétur’s father realising his 15 year old dream of dancing contemporary dance on stage. Dance for Me received the title “Readers choice” in the 2013 DV Culture Awards in Iceland and was also nominated as “Best dance piece”.
