Originally a solo project from songwriter/producer Ricardo Lopez-Aguilar, Oldfolks Home has grown to include multi-instrumentalist Shaun Gibson (The Details, Rebel Yell) on Drums, creating an exciting, dynamic live performance and achieving perfect counter balance with Lopez’s intricate, melodic arrangements.
Beginning as a recording project while Lopez-Aguilar was living in Montreal, a move to Winnipeg and the addition of Gibson has seen Oldfolks Home move beyond the confines of a studio project to encompass a stunning live performance that has garnered attention across the country through touring and at Pop Montreal, the Halifax Pop Explosion, The Red Gorilla Music Festival in Austin, Texas, and Sled Island.
