Kathleen Hiley is known for her signature dramatic, evocative and expressive interpretations. She is a founding member of Drive Dance. Which recently performed as a guest in Nafro Dance’s Moving Inspirations Festival, as well as Dance Manitoba’s Members Showcase, Stephanie Ballard’s Landscape Dancing for the Buhler Gallery’s 5th Anniversary, the 2012 Winnipeg Fringe Festival, and the Winnipeg Dance Preservation Initiative’s International Dance Day Event.
Kathleen is currently a Company Member with Mouvement, Winnipeg Dance Projects under the artistic direction of Stephanie Ballard and Gaile Petursson-Hiley. She will be a featured artist in Gaile Petursson-Hiley’s original full length work “Creatures” 2013, and Stephanie Ballard’s “Homeagain” 2013. She performed in Gaile Petursson-Hiley’s “Bronte” 2009 , “Faeries” 2006 and Stephanie Ballard’s “A Christmas Carol” 2010 as well as “Homeagain” 2010.
Kathleen holds a B A Honors in Dance receiving the Gold Medal in Theatre and Film from the University of Winnipeg upon graduation from the School of Contemporary Dancers Senior Professional Program. During her training she had the opportunity to work with master teachers and critically acclaimed choreographers.
