Silent bang
A universe in a huff
Forms and dissipate
In the space of one breath
This large-scale sculptural work imagines the grand spray of a whale, suspended in the moment before it falls. Through a small opening in the sky, viewers may glimpse within the crystallized release to behold a watery, kaleidoscopic universe. Soft starlight ignites infinite reflections through which the cosmos, perhaps the consciousness of a whale or the space between breaths, appears to spill endlessly outward.
