Contemporary Verse 2 (CV2) is a national, quarterly poetry magazine whose ultimate mission remains to get more people to try poetry and like it. Established in 1975, CV2 is Canada’s oldest poetry magazine which has for over forty years operated out of Winnipeg, located on Treaty 1 Territory and traditional land of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, Dene and homeland of the Métis people. CV2 publishes the broadest cultural, creative, innovative range possible of new, emerging and established poets with an emphasis historically on homegrown poetic talent to create an environment in which Canadian poetry, be appreciated by the widest possible local, national and international public.
