Ether / Aura is a remarkable concert featuring the surprising and sublime music of Iceland’s top composers from the past 50 years. With a focus on Jon Leif’s beautiful folk-inspired songs, the concert ranges from Áskell Másson’s Prim for solo snare drum – a favourite of Dame Evelyn Glennie – to an Icelandic hommage by guest curator William Pura. This evening is a special presentation in partnership with núna (now), Winnipeg’s Icelandic arts convergence.
