Rachelle Bourget

Rachelle Bourget is thrilled to be a part of núna (now) for her second time, presenting her most recent chorography. A contemporary dance artist residing in Winnipeg, Manitoba she is a 2012 graduate of the School of Contemporary Dancers, and has had the privilege of working with many choreographers including Nina Patel of The Lime Project Dance Company, Stephanie Ballard of Stephanie Ballard and Dancers, Odette Heyn of Odette Heyn-Projects in collaboration with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, and Brent Lott through ACI’s Youth Mentorship Program in 2011.  She has also had the opportunity to perform as a guest artist with Drive Dance in the 2012 Winnipeg Fringe Festival, as a member of WCD’s emerging company VERGE for two seasons and has toured with WCD performing in Toward Light, the tribute show for Rachel Browne.

Recently, Rachelle collaborated with Sarah Helmer in Young Lungs Dance Exchange’s first ever Research Series, a four week research project dedicated to exploring and developing choreographic interests with Natasha Torres-Garner and Freya Olafson as mentors. She is a co-founder, choreographer and performer with Nova Dance Collective, a Winnipeg based contemporary dance company which will be presenting their new full length work “And Other Stories” at the 2013 Winnipeg Fringe Festival.

In the fall, Rachelle will be travelling to Athens, Greece to complete a 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training Certification through Yoga Alliance International and to Vienna, Austria for a five week project with Christina Medina of C.Medina/@ttendance.
